Apropos of nothing...here are some car wheel parts that look just like the adjustable race on a Chris King headset:

Those are wheel center caps. They don't actually hold the wheel onto the hub, but merely "cover up" the fasteners doing that job for cosmetic reasons. They do look good, though in some circles the uncovered look, along with the slight reduction in unsprung weight, slight reduction of unnecessary parts, and slight reduction in wheel change time, gives a more "track-like" look.

Those pictured do look somewhat like a King adjustable-race headset piece, but they aren't available in enough annodized colors!
