I know Tom, he actually lives just around the block from me. please do give a call if you are ever in socal. I don't really drink ca wines, mostly barolo and others from that area - going to a Sandrone tasting in 20 minutes - and french, lots of cdp, burgs, etc. I also like some things from spain. the guy in cycling that knows what is what is jonathan vaughters - seems to have a decent budget which is the first step.

no way - both events are a formally 1 oz pours but the burg tasting is put on by woodland hills wine @ a country club so it really as much as you want - the cdp tasting is put on by martin weiner who hosts some of the best, and most expensive tastings pretty much anywhere in the country, even most extensive than the burg wine co in ny, I have been to a number of there events. look @ the chamber tasting that is also coming up - the guy is just unreal for wine lovers, some of the events fill up in <1 hr. his pours are a little more than an oz but some people pass on certain wines so there is always lots to choose from @ the end. guess I dont need to wonder why my cycling is going nowhere!

just rolled in...the 2003 Sandrone Barolo Cannubi Boschis was just flat out amazing but the price, well $165 is a lot of coin. Cannubi is one hell of a plot of land. I think I would rather have 3 normal B's for the price
