Whats Your Favorite Century/Group Ride (2008 edition)

The days are short, it's getting cold and wet and I'm not riding as much these days. Now I'm thinking about rides for next year and I wonder about everyones favorite Century/Group rides are.
For me it is the Crater Lake Century in Oregon.

http://www.craterlakecentury.com/

Riders are limited so it's not crowded, lots of climbing, the ride around the crater rim is spectacular, there is very little traffic and it is well supported by friendly volunteers.

What are your favorites?

Ride Around Torch...Elk Rapids, MI

Circumnavigate the most beautiful lake in the USA (3rd most in the world)-according to National Geographic. I happen to agree...The water is the color of blue Gatoraide.

Hilly Hundred

I missed it this yr but I have done it over 20 times. It is more like homecoming for cyclists than a bike ride.

Link is below:

It is worth a trip to Bloomington IN to give it a try once.

I really enjoyed the Copper Triangle Alpine Classic in Colorado.

It is run the first weekend in August.

It's only 80 miles but it also has 6000 feet of climbing.

Ah, someone mentioned CROC in Pendleton. That was my West Coast pick, but out in the east, the D2R2 is very fun, and varied. Plenty of climbing.

Civil War Century

Begins in Thurmont, Maryland. Traveling through Antietam, Gettysburg, and south Mountain Civil War battlefields and monuments. Lots of hills, about 6k feet of climbing, and lots of history. It is also a well-supported ride by the Baltimore Bicycling Club.

There is something about cycling over the rolling green hills consecrated by the blood of tens of thousands of our our countrymen.

I also have to agree on the Copper Triangle organized ride to support the Davis Phinney Foundation. It is a great. well-supported ride, and it is for a really good cause (Parkinson's disease research).

Also, while discussing Colorado rides, lets not forget the Triple Bypass!
