sorry-doping content: CVSA? Why not use it for detection/investigation

-No it's not a drug- it's an investigative tool.

Whilst I really don't care to sit around and gripe about the doping debacle, I caught a show on body language two nights ago and was fascinated by the skill of the experts featured in the show. Toward the end of the show a quite convincing bit on Computer Voice Stress Analysis was shown.

CVSA is much better than the Polygraph, but of course they're is huge pressure from the Polygraph lobby to protect itself...whoops-that are political.

CVSA requires a microphone or recorded audio. It's used in the field by US troops, onshore by CIA/FBI/SS and a law enforcement agency near you.

Appears that the top-notch stuff--the one the professionals use is from a company in West Palm Beach. There's a good four-part video of that on the tube. NITV is the outfit.

Polygraph can be "confused" by technique and simply cool liars. CVSA focuses on characteristics of the voice that are not consciously manipulated.

I just don't see how this could NOT be part of the cleanup of our sport.
