FS:1997 54cm CSI Red/yellow/ti SOLD

Folks,

Here is a frameset that is SOLD I bought from a fellow forumite last year around this time. It is a 1997 CSi 54. St is 54 c-c. Top tube is 55 c-c. Very cool broken egg paintjob. Serial # cs54 1468 C4S tubing.

So speaking of paint. This bike will need new paint to be a perfect bike. I would rate the overall paint as 6/10. Previous owner did his own touch ups on scratches on the top tube, and it doesnt look really good. I tried to highlight them in the photo. My goal was to send it back to Serotta for a full repaint...just never got around to it.

This frameset has seen a few miles, but there are no dents. Never got around to build it, but I did put it up on a frame table and it is nice and true.

I would like to get $450 shipped to any of the 50 states.

Standover height

The standover is 78.5 cm. Hope this helps. Between 31 and 31.5 inches.

warm regards,

stephen

That's an interesting frame and fork. I've never seen one that didn't have the "CSi" on it, and I didn't know they offered "head ons" back then. What fork is that?

First year of Heads on

My understanding is that it is the first year of the heads ons. The fork is an F1 threaded. Your right it is stange to not have the CSi decal on the top tube, but the serial number is correct for a CSi.

Someone should jump on this!

Buy it send it home for a couple weeks to get a fresh coat on and whammo! You have a beutiful bike that will ride and look better than any steel bike being made today. I did it with my old TG and the thing looks and rides great!

Wanna trade your un-finished project for my finished one??? they appear to be the same geo.

Colorado TG repainted last year with Arancio, black logo's w/white outline

Not only no 'CSI' but also the BB shell does not have the integrated cable guides on the bottom as mine does. Perhaps that was a mid-year change to go to the external plastic (which I would prefer).
