Remember to get yourselves checked out annualy!

I'm fairly new to the forum but have read lots of posts and have gleaned lots of info. One thing I'd like to pass on to all of you, get yourselves checked out annually. I'm a prior cancer survior. Eight years ago I had testicular cancer then went through the chemo and radiation treatments. Now I get checked out on a regular basis.

A year and half ago, a lump was detected on my neck which just recently was diagnosed as Thyroid cancer. Last week I had surgery and six weeks from now start the second part of the treatment. I'm doing fine and there's a 95% cure rate. Also, the doctors attribute this condition to the radiation treatment I received 8 years earlier. I fit the profile that they have.

Anyway, to all, please get yourselves checked out annually to alleviate any conditions that might arise. I've buried 2 friends in the pass year who ignored all the bells and warning whistles. Also, please give an extra hug to the ones you love tonight.
