Campy Q: H11 crank on non-disc bike
I know the cranks are pushed out by 2.5mm or whatever to maintain a good chain line with wider axle bikes.
Would it be not ideal to run these with normal axle width(100/135)? |

I have also read that H11 cranks are pushed out by 2.5 mm. I measured a set, however, and they were exactly the same as a 'regular' set of cranks. Go figure ...

Yeah, something about claims for the H11 crank didn't add up. They say that it has a 2.5mm wider chainline, while keeping the same narrow 145.5mm Q factor. But there is very little clearance between front derailleur cage and the backside of the crankarm on a standard 11spd crank. There's no way they could have pushed the chainline out without the derailleur cage interfering with the crank arm.

I dunno its kinda hard to believe campy designed a new crank for discbrakes and thus wider rear hubs to accomodate a better chainline without actually doing it.
I have not measured or tested so i will take your words for it but seems odd.. The q factor is measured to the pedals tho right so the crank arm could be arched right? To achieve same low q factor but more clearance for fd and the wider chainline perhaps and also could be slimmer arm in general as well i guess or a combo. |

I have often read reviews at sites selling it & they say no problem at all with normal width

They would work fine on a 'non' disc brake, 135mm rear end.
