Cheap new Campy vs used Shimano

I recently bought a cheap Reynolds 853 steel frame and am looking for a inexpensive group to put on it. I have several better bikes and will leave this one at work for rides after work with friends. I can get a new Campy Xenon (10 sp) 8 pc group from PBK for $295.05 (free shipping). Being a long time Shimano user is this as good as say a used 9 sp Shimano 105 group? I am open to suggestions and am looking to buy if you have something to sell, I will post a WTB in the classifieds also.

Thanks,
Jeff

Err...does it matter if it looks "nice"? Just thinking if the bike is going to be left somewhat unguarded you might want to kit it out with real junky stuff that works and not a new kit. Otherwise you really can't miss the budget racers pal Shimano 105.

I am the one that is confused , what is the analogy? I am an electronics nerd.

BTW - PBK now has an additional 5% off so Group is $295.05.

Help me out here. What is PBK? We're not talking Performance, are we? I'm in a similar position and that's a good price...

ProBikeKit.com, a great addition to any internet buyer's quiver, especially for tires.
