Comments about my stem size and seatpost (pics)

I'm riding a 50cm Cannondale System Six. My fitter made some changes to the stock seatpost and stem to alleviate my lower back discomfort. This is what we wound up with; a zero offset post and a 120 stem.

Any comments? Did I do okay with the frame size? Any observations from the experts out there on how this setup handles?

B, one way I can guarantee you that you'll get lots more comments is if you post a pic of yourself on the bike in riding position. That always seems to bring on a flood of ideas... (sometimes not all of them good)

Manet, that position, although very interesting for the guys here, is most likely not the type of postion that will help bourquek's cycling....

As Louis said, you may get views that you do not need. Maybe this is one of them.

Calsssic positioning (which is what people will judge your bike on) is a starting point that you fine tune from. I am at least 2 cm behind KOPS, have the ball of my foot 12 mm in front of the spindle, very long reach and 60 mm drop which is not heaps at 6'4". So after years of fine tuning it is perfect for the way that I function on the bike but few fitters would start me there on ony of those measures.

Long way of saying if it feels good - you are comfy, powerful and recruiting all you muscles properly then it is perfect for the way that you function on the bike, forget how the bike looks or what is "normal". If it isn't right, keep fiddling and you will get there. You should also consider doing some core stength exercises if you are having back problems.

Good luck. And the bike looks great, enjoy.

The only thing I notice is that the seat is very far forward to be on a no setback post.. The proportions look fine, not too much post, you still have plenty of drop for a guy with physical problems. Miles will tell...

Ditto. The tilt forward bothers me a bit, but if it works for you...have fun.
