Always something interesting from or about SKY.

Two nations cool with doping for a long time. One ain't. So weird.

It is interesting though, the French have home field advantage every year at this race.
If I was running Team Sky Moscon would be fired and not only for throwing punches but for what he did with Reza. Screw that guy, bad for the team and bad for the sport. |

Of COURSE it does but Froomie was under that cloud at the Giro too, yes?

yeah, saying "Gee something is just wrong with how French people are" sure sounds like a great way to ingratiate yourself with your hosts.

Assuming the French media pick up this article, it should make the Pyrenees that much more interesting.

the whole TdF vs Giro and who's more rude to the riders question isn't all that interesting, really. but I get that Brailsford is frustrated and angry with how they're being treated, he's just choosing a silly/confrontational way to express it (but that is his way...).
the bigger point is that he's not wrong that spitting on and intimidating riders and staff has no place in the race. |

The race is in France, but who are the people spitting and being otherwise very rude? Probably more a product of camping out for 2 days on a hillside with lots of alcohol than nationality.

We've got to keep in mind that during the Giro the jury was still out on the Froome case. However, just prior to the TdF some drama took place and depending on your point of view that ruling could look like a fix was in. In all likelihood this has little to do with location and everything to do with the odor of sports politik.

Oyh!
I'm into the Gin this afternoon as it is pouring outside. Because it's free I will leave my thoughts. 1. Sky loves that Froome is second because this reduces the possibility of a huge bucket of pee pee being thrown on him. And all the talk about illegal doings is deflected. Thomas will "fade" in the last week following orders. That is if Thomas is a good soldier. 2. Moscon, French fans are a great distraction from their leaders problems. Brailsford is an excellent politician. He should run for office. He can spin a story well. 3. Most of the Sky riders could ride Froome off their wheel if he was not protected. This will be the high point of "omerta" within the team. It would have to be a mighty team indeed if someone doesn't defect this time. 4. Perhaps Froome will take the fall for all this PR mess. Really, who will want him if he loses? 5.I think the sponsor caravan should have a truck filled with asthma inhalers. If all the fans are high it will make things more interesting. |

Take a look at the NY Post today.
Moscon hits rider mid stage. (Was the first kilometer) Manafort. Roseanne. You know who owns the paper right? Mr. Sky himself. |

Brailsford acts like a man who believes he is the smartest guy in the room.
He probably hasn't read the book. |

If everyone keeps believing this is reality then I suppose he is the smartest.
