New crankset question
Hello,
I recently purchased a used 2013 Masi Evo Di2 bike. It came with the original FSA SL K Light 52/36 110 PF30 crankset. I am thinking of upgrading to a Rotor3D+ crankset but I am at loss if the BB is compatible and/or will I need anything parts. Also, on a sort of related question, since the bike came with a di2 10 speed system, if I want to upgrade to a 11 speed di2, all I need is a new 11 speed chain, 11 speed cassette, 11 speed front and back derailleurs? I already have a 11 speed wheeset. Thanks |

shimano updated the firmware on 11s stuff a year or so ago to make it non-compatible with 6770 stuff (junction boxes and shifters in particular). so yea, you could keep your cranks/brakes/battery and wires but everything else would likely need to get swapped out. |

3D+ should fit just fine
You Di2 must be 6770? (not 7970) |

I would recommend upgrading using the Canondale SISL cranket,
They are being blown out and available for $200 , which is a cracking deal, perhaps the best deal on a crankset I have ever seen. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cannondale-H...MAAOSwwo1Xdt9E You can inquire for 175mm options if you prefer, I did and was rewarded with a bueno crankset! |

I don't consider the crank you mention as much of an upgrade. Nothing wrong with the light FSA crankset.

The crank is excellent and a drop in. You will need the full gearset for the 11sp up grade and as EBaumann says maybe the front junction, shifter wires, and downtube wire.

Did FSA fix their issues with pedal inserts coming loose from the carbon arm?
