It seems like a high stress area that likely wouldn't hold up to a repair. I'm no expert though so don't know all the options available.

That said, if you decide to need a new saddle, I have one in 143 ti rail that I'm no longer in need of.

That area will be under significant tension, and there is nothing that I can imagine, that would fix the crack, yet still allow the surface to flex like original. You wouldn't want to go full rigid.

Also, although a bit out of focus, the front mounting cup, where it mates with the rails, appears to have a network of spider cracks. I don't know the particular resin or reinforcement used for the saddle substrate, but the spider cracking suggests it has lost its plasticity (ozone, age, solvent exposure or otherwise).

Attempt to warranty or retire.

Romin

Take it to a Specialized dealer. They will warranty it and get you a new one.
When I was using a Romin on my mtb, I would crack one in that same spot every 4-6 weeks.
They were always replaced.

Toupes did this too at much higher intervals.

I got myself a carbon version of the Romin in hopes of avoiding this (not the Pro version which is carbon rail but still plastic shell, the S-WORKS one), but I haven't put it on the bike yet because it's so pretty (and so expensive!).

The only way to me to fix that is to add a few layers of carbon over the whole top of the saddle, at that point is cheaper to get a new one.

I am an expert and I would not touch that saddle. Much less ride it.

See if you can get a warranty replacement or buy a new one. That one's done.

Appreciate all your help, hadn't though of warranty sine I couldn't find any info online.

For the folks that have warranty their saddles, what needed on my end? How long is the warranty period? The reason I ask, my LBS I purchased from is no longer a Specialized dealer and will need to find one.

saddle

Just take it to a Specialized dealer and ask for help.
Tell them that you are willing to wait for a replacement.

I bought one new online and it cracked. Took it to a LBS where I do some regular business, told them where I bought it etc, and asked if Spcialized would take it back. They said "sure" no problem, and gave me a new saddle. That's why I buy anything that needs trying on on looking at, or where I need info or advice, from this LBS.

That's my concern since the LBS I purchased it from is no longer a Specialized dealer. And in essence I'll be going to another LBS that does not know me asking for warranty work. At this point I have nothing else to lose since I was planning on spending the $ for a fix/replacement.
