Question for the licensed racers
USA cycling now has an all in one license for all starting 2014. Does any body know if you can split between say, a cat 1 MTB and a cat 3 road? Or are you now just categorized as one category?

It will still be split based on your racing category in each discipline.

i think the "combined" portion refers to... previously you could just get an MTB license or just a road/track license? mine have always listed my category for each discipline separately.
definitely does not combine your category across disciplines, though it would be kind of funny if all it said was CAT 3, no other text. |

ah ha.....ok. this sounds better. was thinking of mixing it up on the mtb in '14 and didn't want to start in same category as my road.....hell i don't even know what cat's are like in mtb'ing. guess i should look into that.

You can crossgrade between road, track, and cross. You can't between road/track/cross and MTB, because the categories don't line up. It's all in the rulebook.
