Ten years to original owner isn't bad I guess.A lifetime warranty
is unrealistic and overly brash for any bike maker IMO.
this is a good move by Saratoga (assuming they'll be around for ten more
years)
In my case I'm out of luck as my two customs are more than 10
years old.

Thanks for posting

lifetime warranty is something that doesn't even register with me for buying a bike. if a year or three comes with it, great. i've seen threads on here with folks bitching about not being able to call up saratogotta (or whatever it is these days) 15-20 years from now and not being able to get their thingamajig serviced. good grief. what would they do, instead buy a huy fong x201z if that lifetime warranty option was not available?

i've had 3 customs made and i have no idea what the warranty is. if it breaks, i'll call the guy. i've had a parlee in the past and had no idea what warranty was. it broke, i called 'em up, they fixed it.

i mean, even cars are what, 5 years at most for manufacturer's warranty?

Lifetime means lifetime.

Not, jeez, isn't ten years enough?

Nope, it means lifetime.

Thanks for bringing up a sore subject. Never again from whomever had the cajones to write that and explain away .......... lifetime.

Thanks for the "Heads Up".

I just did it. Very easy and quick.

I also spoke to a nice young lady at Saratoga Frameworks because I didn't have the bike here at home to get the serial number and they are OK with sending it next week once I have it.

10 years is better and nothing. Lifetime is only as good as a company lasts anyways.

It's more or less a good move, politically. Time will tell.

Thank you very much for the heads up. Just completed the on-line form. The addition of the "peace of mind" protection" is nice. I had to use this once on this bike and it saved me some money!

Actually, according to the latest small business data, 3-4 years is fairly common and 10 years is typical.

Thanks for the heads up!

When I hit "save" I was redirected to the home page, without any confirmation....I emailed the co. To make sure it went thru.

Did anyone get a confirmation?
