Some reports of the head coming "unglued" from the shaft.
They also changed the weave at some point. The earliest ones have a 90' weave pattern, and the later ones have a more multidirectional layup, (in the cosmetic layer anyway) It's possible to crack a carbon post with the seat lug interface. Check the torque rating, and make sure the inside diameter of the seat tube is all good. I wouldn't personally buy a used carbon post, since who knows where it's been. -gee |

this is for a NOS post - totalcycling has them for a good price.
I was just thinking about it - probably wont get one. |

I'm not sure if you really need to worry, maybe others will chime in. I think E-richie had one come loose. I have about 3 of them in service, no problems. I've ordered from Totalcycling.com before. They are in Ireland, and the shipping to north america was kinda expensive. I also got hit with duty on a Jersey, but that was to Canada, so may not apply to you. -gee Last edited by Grant McLean; 12-18-2005 at 12:33 PM. |
