Blast from the past.

Just inflated my first set of tubbies in more than a decade. When I first switched to clinchers I was seriously bummed about the ride, but I'd spent the money, and I was working more, riding less, and racing not at all. I figured I'd suck it up for a bit and a bit stretched on and on. I've been really pleased with the way clinchers have improved over the years, but the idea of getting a set of tubbies again has been nagging at me for a while now. So I bought a used set of nucleons off e-bay, a pair of veloflex tires through the mail, and a cheap vittoria spare at the local performance store (paid 16 bucks--seems ok). A couple of days of stretching, another for the glue, and on they went this morning. So we'll see. I feel like a kid--can't wait to get them out there (although, unlike a kid, I will wait for the glue to set).
