Nice article and one I can relate to.

I don't know if this has been linked here or not but a good read and short history of the upswing of modern American racing.

Pretty much coincides with my romanticism towards steel framed bikes.
Some folks assume I'm "hating" on carbon frames but that's the furthest
from the truth. It's more about my becoming aware of bike racing and the
bikes they rode during those days (and I still ride today).
