27.5x2.0 XC tire?

Please recommend a fast&light 650b xc mtb-ish tire with a bit of tread that measures 50-52mm or just about 2".... for the new Zanc.

My Terrene Elwoods are nice with low profile tread and 47mm, but I could go a bit bigger with more widely spaced tread.
Does a 2.1 Thunder Burt measure its full-size on a 23internal rim? A full 2.1 might not quite fit the frame.
Anyone ever try the Hutchinson Black Mamba 27.5x2?
Others?

Panaracer Comet Hardpack is that size. Mine set up just fine tubeless, but were a couple mm too large for my frame. (I measured 51mm on 23mm internal rims) They seem to be well made just like every other Panaracer product I've tried.

I have an unridden (1 NIB) pair you can try for $30.

(mods, please let me know if this is not kosher outside the classifieds)

The panaracer gravel king sk's in 48mm (1.9") actually measure slightly wider for me and could work if "true" 2.1's don't work. The Thunder Burt seems to be the default choice for this application but I bet a Maxxis Race TT would also work and it comes in 2.0.

If you can find old quasi motos, they are great. Otherwise Geax did some 2.0s as well.

I ran Quasis on my salsa vaya travel and once or twice my TwinSix.

I can measure them out on an i23 rim if you'd like tomorrow afternoon.

In my experience the older Pacenti 27.5 MTB tires are on the heavy side. Maybe that changed.

2.1" Thunder Burt LiteSkin EVO measure just about 55mm on my i23 Crest Mk3 rims. And they're pretty great. I did a bikepacking trip with everything from road to rutted out singletrack and I don't think I could've had a better tire. I think they weighed in around 440g.

My 2.1 liteskin ThunderBurts measure 52mm on a 20mm-inner rim.

2.0 Maxxis Maxxlite one70 could be worth a look, though its stupid-light and really only suitable for dry hard-packed ground.

Another vote for the Quasi Motos. However, if you want more of a road tire, the Comet Hardpack might be slightly better at that. The Quasi is probably the lightest tire in the category.

The Pacenti xxxx-moto tires are now under the Panaracer name, but still available.

Off the normal QBP path...

Bontrager makes the XR0, XR1 and XR2 in the requested size.

Speshy makes the Fast Trak
