Zanconato 650b

Zanconato 650b gravel crosser here.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again... there is something awesome about a snappy aluminum frame with chubby soft tires. A while back Mike showed me a new aluminum chainstay that would accommodate 650bx50, road cranks and shortish chainstays without squishing the goodness out of the pipe. I could not resist. While this combo is not all that rare these days, I think this is an exceedingly nice-riding example. Snap, it does. Not too slack, so it'll steer around corner like it should. Oh, and this will do oversize 700c cx tires too because there are times for that.

Also, Jordan at Hottubes got the paint just right. The green is just what I had imagined, and he stenciled the logos in the ideal shade of creamy white. It is a pleasing color combo.

The build is Force 1, Fizik/Zipp/FSA bits, Nox Skyline 27.5 + White Ind, Compass SBH sans tubes. 42or40x11-32or36.

Zanconato 650b

Another stunner for sure! I like that it can fit super fat tires as well!

What a great bike! I dream about a snappy aluminum frame and squishy tires...

1x only? Or could you squeeze a 46/36 double in there?

Finally... I've been waiting months for pics of this.

Congrats Steve on yet another killer bike and build! Really diggin' that paint scheme. You know who to call first if you ever decide to sell.

Those tires are ridiculous... in a good way. Is this your D2R2 rig this year?

Yeah, this is the likely D2R2 sled....if my daughter and I decide not to go BF tandem on the flat route. She is quite the tiny stoker.

wrt buying/selling
my other Zanc cx will be for sale when I retrieve it from the other house. Happy to discuss that with people.

Beauty, also curious to hear about the weight. Thats an interesting mix, aluminum and 650b, hadn't considered how that may eliminate some of the chatter and still keep the snap.

Love that colour! Is there a RAL code or some such for it?
