Anyone else on Zwift?
I read that they are also going to add custom workouts as one of the additional paid features. That would be the only way I could justify a monthly fee.

I used it some last winter and early spring. They are supposed to switch to a $10/mo model in next month or so. Workouts rolling out in beta soon as well.
I found it an "easy" way to get myself to do VO2 efforts, well compared to just doing them or via something like TrainerRoad. For inexpensive training plans TrainerRoad is hard to beat. Zwift can make indoor sessions a touch more fun, racing other riders, etc. I'll probably check it out again once I'm forced indoors. |

$10 a month is less than I used to pay for World of Warcraft back in the day. I'm all in for that. I sure hope they have more courses soon though, and a way to choose them. It will keep feeling like a proof of concept until they do. I'm sure they're working on it.

A mobile version would help. With the new large screen phones it's pretty good. I have used trainerroad on a 6+ landscape and it's great.

Has something changed? I used Zwift on Android last winter.

Oh, but I mean an ap that you can actually use to run the training software, like TrainerRoad. The one you mention only lets you see who's online, right?

You don't need a power meter. They have estimating software that will use a wheel speed sensor and a know trainer curve to estimate your power. I haven't done any back to back testing but the Z-power seems to read high. Usually the top 3-4 KOM spots are held by non power users. When they start charging I am going back to trainer road.

Generally the kickr does read higher than is real. If you're only doing training inside and not concerned about it matching anything else, no worries. Just go for it. You'll get same wattage out of the kickr whether you're using Trainer Road or Zwift.

I'm not too concerned about power or Strava. I just want something interactive to keep me from going nuts on the trainer.

Got it. I dl'd it last winter but used Zwift via pc. I have an Intel NUC connected to a tv that I use mostly for watching Eurosport (Revolution Series track racing this weekend) but is also great for playing on Zwift.

It's pretty easy to find a uses Quarq for under $500... Used Stages are even less. They had new Rival arms on closeout for $400.
