A Sage "Musky" fly rod from a blank.
It's an 11 weight, built for big northerns and muskies here in Minnesota. Probably work for tarpon as well when we visit my folks down in the Gulf. http://www.mudhole.com/Sage-MUSKY-Fl...-1190-4-MUSKEY |

Almost there... Not crazy about the post, waiting on some new pedals, and trying to decide if it needs a white saddle. |

looking good, jt pal.
The only thing that might make it look better is a silver finish crankset.

Nitto post, or a Dura Ace 7410 post, would look great as would silver cranks. My 7-11 bike is a work in progress, built with what I thought I wanted, then ride and change as opportunity presents itself. Many motorola team bikes had white tape and black saddle, so if a modernized team-replica is the look you are after its good with that saddle.

Nitto/Sim-Works (by Nitto)/DA7410 are the short list for seatposts.
The only silver cranks I would want is Dura-Ace 9000 or White Industries, and those are both still hard to come by under $200, so no rush there. |

That’s a beauty. I like the black saddle, personally.

Very nice. FWIW, I think Motorola rode black saddles, with the white bar tape and black hoods... just like you have it built up now.

That looks awesome. Do you have any other prior experience working with carbon?

I took the Bohemian framebuilding course two years ago. This is my fourth frame (1 in the class, 3 in my garage). I still need to bag and bake it, but so far it's looking pretty good.

I built this manual machine a few days go to try and learn manuals. There's a ton of YouTube videos showing various versions. My little modification was to make one that could be more easily stored. The stabilizer cross-bar piece can be removed by pulling out wooden dowels.

DK Onesto......,
Started my DK Onesto last Sunday. I didn't snap any pics but will get some up soon. I've had this frameset for about 2 years now and just haven't been in the right mood to get it put together with estate settlements and surgeries.
Anyway I did get the Colnago Ottanta5 completed that was shown earlier in this thread and have taken it out for two shakedown rides.

OK, I had no idea what a manual was let alone how it was related to cycling so I Googled it. Thanks for the Tuesday morning education.

That’s a smart mod with the removable stabilizer. Is there anything that limits how far you back the bike can rotate? I’ve seen some that essentially bungee the front wheel.
...and how are your manual skills progressing? Quote:

The best way I learned was just looping the bike until I was getting comfortable finding balance. |
