What's the rarest or most obscure bike in your collection?
Just wondering what the rarest or most obscure bicycle you have owned or currently own. Mine is a 1981/82 lotus super pro aero. I would love to see what others have with pics preferably.

I believe it was a 54cm, but it is now long gone. I believe the member I sold it to posted it for sale again here a couple of years ago. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

My whole stable is an eclectic mix of rare. From two custom Softrides made by TiCycles (one road, one track/SS), a Paul Barkley custom Softride... The most "generic" is a Specialized Rockhopper Sport that I've bastardized with a 29er Salsa fork.
The most rare would be the ones I built for myself. Next would be the Javelin X-frame aero bike, circa probably 1990. |

Scott Plasma 3 TT, with the fabled -17 Shark-tooth flat stem. Scott made these bikes for only one year before changing the livery and the stem. The stem alone resales for $400 used...

I have one of the most collectible bikes on the planet. It is currently on loan to the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame.
My bike is generally referred to in cycling literature as "Breezer #2." "Breezer #1" is in the collection of the Smithsonian. By comparison, my 1983 Ritchey Annapurna is barely collectible.

And thanks for sharing it with the world! I saw that bike when it was still in CB, before the move.
For Hilltopperny, I saw a Lotus super aero in blue locked outside my local food coop when I stopped to pick up something on Monday. Nice bikes, I hadn't seen one in years. |

Peter Johnson from ~1975, the third frame Peter built. If you don't know about Peter, you're missing a lot.

not obscure but not something you see everyday, that is unless you live upstairs from my basement. |
