Never seen these. What problem do they solve or are they just design elements for the sake of...?

Definitely unique looking.

Well, if the builder didn't have a long enough down tube, I guess it solves that.

Otherwise... dunno.

I love this little bike.

There was a doctor from Dallas who bought a custom Serotta from our shop. I could roll the bike between my legs.

1953 Hetchins Vade Mecum. Rides beautifully. One of the first years adaptable to fully modern components, but still those luscious Jack Denny handcut lugs and perfect brazing...

These are my babies:

^ bought on here several years ago. rebuilt with 7700 and then last year I decided to rebuild with 6800!

^this one is just slightly longer than I'd like in the toptube and has since turned into wall art.

I would love to get ahold of a steel GT in the USA colorway !
Grew up riding old GT bmx's (casually around the neighborhood) and rigid mtbs, so this brand has a place in my heart. Love me some vintage triple triangle <3

What's the rarest or most obscure bike in your collection?

I believe it was a 54cm, but it is now long gone. I believe the member I sold it to posted it for sale again here a couple of years ago.

Probably the Cherubim since I think it’s less well known in the U.S. than Tesch. If not, then will probably it’s my Tesch 101.
