I think that is a really elegant looking bike. Not sure about the fabrication type, and I am sure it is coming of age, but it is pretty amazing to look at!

76 degree seat tube is a pretty common thing nowadays. It goes with a lengthened front center and slack head tube. Helps with climbing.

Yup, definitely within the norm, from most major manufacturers too

I once had an ATAC fork fail on my Yeti at the landing of a series of jumps. Slammed straight to the ground head first. I thought the bars had come loose. had the etto helmet and everything. All that did was dig a deeper hole in the ground with my head. Those were the days. |

I've been pretty lucky I haven't had anything major happen. One Scott thermoplastic mountain bar and 1 chain. And the bar came off in my hand while racing. Didn't get hurt, didn't even stop pedaling. |

We're being distracted by angles. Focus on the technology, which opening up so many design possibilities to solve problems with existing frames, including cable routing, frame weight, frame utility. I want a 3D frame. Titanium, of course. Passive rear suspension, split seat stays for a belt drive (or a split dropout), T47 bb, the works. Exciting times.

Not sure what that frame has solved, except complicating the heck out of it.
