I don't know...look, as an old guy who used to wait to watch abc sunday sports for the 15 min segment on Lemond winning the tour de france I think we have come a long way...sure, they play the drama abit...but something like this on netflix and fairly well done overall...why not? Don't dig it? Go watch stranger things or whatever trash folks seem to love these days...but hell, I will watch and appreciate a lil. Why not really...

It sure isn’t perfect, but there’s very little on TV that I have an interest in at all. So, I’m sure I’ll watch it all eventually.
There’s an EU law that requires services like NetFlix to have a certain amount of local content. I think the UK counts. Netflix is clearly using this series to get points against their quota. I’m not sure why the creators decided to voice over the non-English speakers, but it bothers me. The seen on the beach where Bilbao and his wife are having an emotional conversation with other people’s voices is really creepy. |

found it to be worth watching...far more entertaining than than most of the streaming fare I get.
some overwrought drama was to be expected, wasn't anticipating a clinical documentary. some of the riders' antics changed my opinion of them, don't care for crybabies. but you get all types in sports, some are cool, humble, and likable. others not so much... whatevs, the Tour is still a world-class spectacle and I enjoyed seeing it from a more 'inside' perspective. |

All the doping accusations on Jonas spilled around primarily in the US oriented siites are directed to legitimize LA imo. “They all do it” “ITT result was impossible without dope” and so on.

So we finally got around to watching and in Ep. 6, when AG2R's Julien Jurdie is being interviewed at the finish of Stage 17, I popped up (in my pink GCN Mortirolo t-shirt) in the background.

Unwatchable that way for me. I figured out I needed to switch the language to French and turn on English subtitles. |

I liked season 1 but this new one.. all the drumming, the yelling, the hype got turned up too far. Its all noise and no signal.
I really enjoyed watching that tour so was hoping for more insights. This netflix thing is like a tiktok rendition of'milf mansion'. |

I agree. I know his behavior was mentioned previously, but for me Ben O’Connor’s childish & incessant whining made this unwatchable. Got through 2 episodes and said no more when there was more of the same.

Hmm, there must be a Netflix account-level setting, because I didn't notice this. It was always French with English subtitles, no dubbing/voice-over.

All English voice overs (with my account).

Yup - me too - I had no idea what he was like off the bike. After watching the series - not a guy I would grab a beer with.

Have to see if French with French subtitles works for me. I hate dubbed content. It's really difficult to properly represent emotions.

Weird. I just downloaded Netflix onto my phone and it’s in French with subtitles, same as my iPad and AppleTV. Maybe a device default and the Apple app picks native language first?
