He’s been with us for a week. He’s trained to stay out of the kitchen. He is crate trained. He’d never been leash trained but he’s picked it up quickly. It took him about 8 hours to bond with me the first day we had him and he’s been glued to my side since then. He gets along with our other dog, cats, and rabbit. My only complaint is that he drinks like a horse. I stand behind him with a towel to catch the slobber. I’m ordering a slobber stopper dog dish, hopefully that helps a little.

Not sure why that is flipped when it’s straight on my photostream ?

I'd forgotten about this. But for all you dog lovers out there...

Ernie got a bit cold at the beach yesterday. Towel to the rescue.

Edit: Ugh. Sideways …

New arrival. Rascal for now, and it may stick.

This is Lemon, she just turned 7. Likes food! Also fetch, licking kids' faces, hiking and more food afterwards.

Couldn't fit the Newf in the same photo with the rest of the pack...

Actually lost him about a year ago, still in mourning. My buddy.

I like the giant breeds, my wife likes the medium sized breeds, she worked at the largest Border Collie Rescue in the country that was located about 15 miles from our house for a number of years until they moved the operation to the Carolina's. She kept bringing them home except for the Aussie on the right.

As a 30 plus year owner of Newfoundlands (expect for the past year) you get used to the slobber. Plus when you are dressed and headed out the door for work in your office clothes and they come over to say goodbye and rub their mouth on your nice clean slacks after taking a drink. Very endearing. I've had this magnet on my office file cabinet for years.
