Jason -- Great to see a post from you, and looks like you picked up a nice one. I always liked that color combination.

One on the repair stand....
Finally started work on my 75th Anniversary Paramount....again🙄. It’s been sitting up in the attic for a couple years now with just a headset installed. After the past two days it’s nearly complete. All that’s left is bar tape and setting the saddle height/position. I’ll post a pic once I get it finished

Installed eTap on my Ritchey Breakaway CX. The BlipBox is really awesome for tuning. I haven't paired my eTap shifters yet, since it will be used with Clicks/BlipBox on bullhorns for trainer use. Pairing is much quicker/easier than I anticipated. People were right- it's a game-changer for travel bikes.
I also put together my Kickr Core, which will be replacing my LeMond Revolution for travel use. Much, much quieter, so the guys at the radar sites won't be woken up at 3:45AM. Hope I'm not jinxing myself with all of this electronic tomfoolery. Mechnaical shifting and a dumb trainer were pretty much bulletproof for me.

Got my new Lemond Zurich rolling this afternoon. The saddle and bars both rolled too far forward in this pic, but it was pretty close for first setup. I'm pretty stoked after a quick spin around the block.
Build highlights: -2x10 SRAM: Rival shifters and crankarms, Red chainrings, X9 clutch RD, Shimano XT 11-32 cassette, KMC chain -Ritchey WCS stem and Logic Curve bars -Bitex hubs laced with CX-Rays to Archetype rims, shod in 27c Vittoria Open Paves Haven't ridden compact bars in a couple of years, but this frame is just a bit long for me, so it makes the reach more manageable. These WCS Logic Curves feel nice. A couple of tweaks left to make: -Might switch out the front derailleur so I can sell the 6500 group I have in the classifieds as a matching set (I have an adapter to run my other FD coming in the mail) -Might switch out the rear derailleur to a standard road RD for the looks, but it works pretty well as is. -Might switch out the headset for a black Cane Creek 40 I have -Might switch out the green Paves for some black GKs I have coming in the mail -etc. Last edited by jtbadge; 08-14-2019 at 07:53 PM. |
