Campy and SRAM Chains

Both are 5.9mm chains, but I do not want to assume.

the word from sram is that they are compatible with everything.
i have even ridden the red and force groups here with my leftover
campagnolo cassette-ed wheels with no issue at all, exceptin' some
guilt atmo.

This has probably been hashed out already, but is the reverse true? Can a wheel with a 10-speed SRAM or Shimano cassette be used with a Campagnolo drivetrain?

The thread started out asking about chain compatibility, not cassette compatibility.

All current 10 speed chains are now 5.9mm wide, so there is no width compatibility problem. You may find that one brands shifts better than another when you start mismatching. I've used the DA 10, KMC 10, Campy UN and the original wider Campy 10 chain on Campy 10 drivetrains with no problem. So far I've not found any chain that shifts better or last longer than Campy, on a Campy drivetrain.

Cassette compatibility is another issue. Campy cog spacing is 4.12mm, while Shimano and SRAM are 3.95mm. It's a significant difference that works best when the closer spaced cassettes are use with an overshifting Campy drivetrain. If you're picky about shifting accuracy, you need a J-tek shiftmate to correct the RD travel.

Nope, 5.9mm. Perhaps an earlier version was wider.
