Hi, I'm Flinch. I'm a bike frame addict. Help!

Before I get near my bikes and become 'intoxicated'...

I recently swore to pare down the fleet, and six bikes gone later am down to a, er, reasonable bunch of bikes. I swore to never fall off the wagon again.

Now I see a frame for a ridiculously low price, that's steel, and fits me, and is the brand I love, and it appears to be calling my name, I swear! Could be the 'DTs' (Drivetrain Tremens), or BWS (Bike Withdrawl Syndrome). I've got two sets of drivetrains sweating on the shelf, antsy to be working again.

I can't reach my 'bike buddy' to comeover and feed me gels until I sober up, so HELP talk me out of another frame!!!

...I've got the shakes...

We are unable to help you until you post a link to the frame.

You're talking to the wrong crowd, but you know that.

It seems we're at the bargaining stage.

Hopefully you can move on to acceptance soon and buy that frame...

That's mighty young to be a steel frame addict.

If you've made it to the point that you're asking the forum to talk you out of it...

You're too far gone, enjoy your new build!

the regret of not getting the new frame will far outweigh the regret of having one more in the collection

you are in big trouble, the way I see it.

If we accept that the answer is always n+1 as the correct number of bikes to own; we see that when you, in a moment of lapsed judgement sold 6 bikes, you now find yourself in an n+7 deficit. Not good.

Run, dont want walk to go get that frame and start closing that deficit, right now!

Let me see if I can help...

Will you be running black or salmon pads on the new build?

Don't do it. Just go ride a bike. Maybe sell one or two bikes to fund a cycling trip.
But, if you have to, I've got some great bikes to sell you.

Oh yea, your dream bike just became affordable as owners are going to wider tire capable frames and selling them. How you make the jump yourself when you just spent the funds on the dream vintage bike. Lots of luck.
