I voted for the Bossi, but would choose whichever you can run with fewer stem spacers . The oil slick chain is a strong look too.

Oh this is fun.
I voted for the Blackheart: The 34mm more tire clearance, a conventional ST clamp, and subtle branding won me over. |

Blackheart gets the vote. Conventional seat post clamp and rear derailleur hanger makes easy to use. Not a fan of the Bossi head tube.

That shaped TT on the Bossi put it over the edge for me, even though I own a Blackheart.

Maybe the Bossi by a hair (less sloped TT, tube shaping and wheels), but it could also be that it's just a better picture. I will admit that my first impression was...

Samesies.
No preference. First is a bit more classic/timeless. Second looks a bit more modern (shaped tubing). |

I don't like the look of round headtubes with fully internal routing, but the Blackheart is significantly cheaper and has better tire clearance, so I'd probably choose that if I had to pay for it.

I hate integrated wiring in bars/HS on principle. Doesn’t what shape they are. |

I have the Bossi… so I’ll refrain from voting due to bias. Picked it up with a nice discount from Befitting Bicycles in PA.
It’s a nice bike, with great customer service from Bossi. My seat post was slipping so they sent a new clamp piece and post. Reilly cycles and J Guillem do similar style bikes FYI. Aesthetically I like the head tube better on the Reilly: https://www.reillycycleworks.com/pro...aero-road-disc Last edited by Shane4XC; 05-16-2024 at 12:09 PM. |

When the head tubes are shaped, they can be more consistent with the look of the stem. Here are a few examples of carbon frames with shaped head tubes vs metal frames with round head tubes, that I think can illustrate what I'm describing. But, of course, aesthetics are subjective, and others may disagree.

They look like the same bike, so I can't really pick.

That Canyon Aeroad is about the last thing a middle-aged middleweight like me needs. But damn it does look fast. I don't really want to own one... but I would totally pay $150 to rent one for a three-hour mash fest.

Bossi
But I'm a bit biased owing one of their stems and seatposts. |
