A diner I went to last month had sushi on the menu. It also had pizza, tacos, wings, pancakes, and gyros.
It seems like it would be tough to offer a lot of dishes at a high level of quality.

It's an aside from the bag but in 2024 there is not much excuse for having a phone that you have to worry about getting damaged from rain and having to find a waterproof bag for it.

Whether you like Apple or Android just about anything decent for at least 5 years now has been more than capable of being taken for a swim.

iPhones since at least the 11 can handle depths up to 6 meters/ 20 feet! Just don't drop it snorkeling in 50 feet of water without a tether.

On a long enough ride I take a plastic bag to put my wallet in. My Leather wallet is the least water resistant thing I carry. But basically nothing I carry in my wallet really has an issue. Even an absolute downpour the wallet still protects the stuff inside it.

Agreed. I would rather overstuff my jersey pockets if no more capacity than what this style of bag provides is required…Additionally, and I know that it is my issue, I really can’t stand cluttered handlebar tops. On the other hand when the ride calls for a little more stuff than one can sensibly stuff in his jersey pockets, there is nothing quite like a properly sorted randonneur bag setup. Unfortunately, those setups are sort of like putting a man on the moon….It takes some engineering, the methods were sorted out a long time ago, and it seems to be a technology that is largely lost from civilization.
