FS: Basso Tretubi Frame/Fork 56cm

UPDATED: PRICE REDUCED $575 FOR BIKE OR $300 FOR FRAME, PLUS SHIPPING.

Hello,

I'm putting my Basso up for sale. It's a 56cm Tretubi. I don't know what model. It is built with a variety of campagnolo components but unfortunately I don't know exactly which model components they are. I have included some pictures of these components to help possibly buyers identify them. The bike is in fantastic shape with zero rust or paint chipping. There is some black gunk on the top tube from a frame mounted pump and a white paint mark on the top tube. I have included pics of these features as well.

Build:
Campi hubs
Campi 7spd ders. and cassette
Campi shifters (switchable from friction to indexing)
Campi strada 170mm crank
Sugino chainrings
campi hubs laced to mavic Open 4 CD rims
Cinelli bar
Cinelli Stem
Modolo Master Pro brakes
Hollow pin chain
Vetta Turbo saddle

Everything functions as it should and really, the bike is gorgeous. It's got 4 hours of ride time in the last 10 years. I don't want to get rid of it but I'm going to look at a Colnago tomorrow and I already have a pretty full stable of bikes.

I would like to get $575 for the bike or trade for a 9 speed
campy groupo. Buyer pays shipping or I would be willing to deliver if the drive isn't too far. Located just outside Saratoga Springs, NY.

Thanks for looking.

EDIT: I'm also interested in selling just the frame/fork for $300

EDIT: The blemish from by the seat tube lug is actually rubber from a pump that was wedged in there. I felt it was worth posting a picture for full disclosure.

Bump, because I've edited my ad. I read the rules and saw nothing that prohibits bumping your own threads. If this is a problem however, will a mod please pm me rather than just deleting this thread? Thanks.

The Tretubi was offered in 1985, probably a year before and after would be good guesses too, with Columbus SL main triangle. The parts are a mix. I'm not positive, but I think the crankset is Gran Sport or Nuovo Record, hubs and rear der are either Triomphe or Victory, and shifters could be any of the line. Nice functional parts, which would get you down the road with no problems.

I had not considered Athena. Shifters and hubs might also be Athena.

Steve where are you located?

Is this a 56cm center-center ST and TT?

phcollard,

The seat tube, measured from c-c is 55.88cm
The top tube, measured from c-c is 55.25cm

Although I used a simple tape measure and converted to cm, I did take great care and believe these numbers are pretty darn accurate.

I'm located in Middle Grove, New York.

Thanks everyone for your theories and suggestions.

One week bump. I would also trade this bike for a decent pair of used carbon wheels.

Still got this thing. It's still beautiful! Would happily trade for a 9spd campagnolo groupo of equal value.
