Thumbs up Rail Trails-leaving poser status

Well I gotta give thanks to Big Bill for getting me hooked on Cycling(pedal kind..) . In trying to log more miles and build up me motor I have been pedaling different rail trails.

I recently pedaled Minuteman Bikeway which is 10.5 miles long. It is mostly an old rails way paved over for bike use. It goes through swamps, woodlands, urban areas and winds its way from south of Hanscom Airforce base to Arlington Mass.

I was planning on it being an easy ride to get out and brun stress from work off. I started out easy for a few minutes and worked my Cro-mo into shape. I noticed a rider ahead of me picking up the pace and eyeing me in his mirror.

I think this is where Bill has been rubbing off on me. I put my legs into it and picked up the pace thinking of how hard he pedals and thought might was well push it a little. next thing I know on a long stretch deviod of people and street crossings my pacers pulls over and says out for a little work out? I say yeah a little wind work . We keep peddling and he pours it on and for some reason(probably from drag raceing when young n dumb) i start hammering... Wasn't sure if id hang in being new . .... I eventually managed to pull away til the next stop sign and grade crossing. As we waited to cross my challenger looked over and said have a good day we both laughed and hammered off in opposite directions. Im going to have to ride more with ya Big Guy!

Nice job J.

I knew there was a cycling fanatic in need of cultivation inside you. Now, just understand that you can never have enough wheels.
