Deda stems for MTB

Is it considered OK to use a Deda Quattro 31.7mm stem for MTB use? I am not downhilling, but I weigh 200lbs and use a 700mm bar.

Are these stems designed to be used in this way? I like Deda stuff and think it is high quality, but I can find no info on the web to support or deny my idea.

Thanks for your suggestions.
