Serotta Project and first post

Just picked this up a couple weeks ago. Nice ride so far and very pleased. Will receive a tear down and clean-up for 2011. <> 1990 Davis Phinney <>

Love that paint scheme. Way ahead of its time.

I love it! If it were mine it would receive newer DA tenspeed stuff but I'd use DT shifters. Either black flite and bar tape or white flite and bartape not sure which would look better. Congrats great bike!

Great ideas, the Shimano 600 (blue/gray finish) is not my cup of tea with this frame color. Looking to use 7700 series as I have a small start on some items . It currently has a some DA parts and very nice FC-7410 crank which I will probably keep.

Nice. I agree, very nice paint job, I haven't seen black fade to red-it really works well.

A new Campy SR group would fit well too.

Cool Welcome to Serotta forum community!

Hey, welcome ... it is very Ferrari'esque like the Colnago's that release as "Ferrari special editions". That's a compliment

Great bike. Touch up the paint and give it a good wax/cleaner going over and it will shine. Might want to FrameSaver the frame and fork if it hasn't been done recently.

Serial number?

Great looking bike - I've got a frame (which I believe was repainted) that looks suspiciously similar to yours, however it lacks any specific decals or tubing stickers. Would it be possible to post the serial number of your bike?

the number is ....

S/N SD5801542 is marked on both frame and fork.It has the same prefix letters as the Davis Phinney Model that is listed on that "auction site" .
I really have not found much information on my bike but I still enjoy the ride.
