silly question about thomson stems

are the graphics reversible? the pictures online show a single thomson graphic on the side that would be upside down if the stem is reversed.

alternatively, is there another silver stem that matches up well with the milled look and silver tone of the thomson seatposts?

The X2 has flip-flop graphics and is available in the same silver as the post. I think that the X4 graphics are one direction only.

Yes on the X2. No on the X4 and the Elite. Thomson should fix this -- it's a frequent and trivial complaint. The lettering is laser-applied and does not come off without major sandblasting or filing, i.e., can't be removed. Think about painting over the stem.

I've always preferred the Nitto UI-5EX or UI-5GX to the Thomson stems.

I love my Thomson seat posts but the stems seem too "industrial" to my taste.

per a nitto catalog pdf i found on google, they only come in 26.0 bar clamp and a max length of 120mm. can that be true?

I'm not sure, but to be honest, for me neither of those limitations (bar clamp dia or length) is a problem, so I would not have noticed. In fact, yesterday I looked all over for a Nitto site or anything that would give me a good description of their various products, but I didn't find much.

There's a version in 25.4 but nothing in 31.8.

Those are pretty flexy stems. Nitto makes them for their city and touring ensembles, not for racing.

the only experience i have is with a zero degree rise stem, so you would never need to flip...
