Question Secondary owners and Owner's Club?

Hi all -

Been here browswing classifieds and generally lurking for several months...have picked up a couple of great bikes, including most recently a fantastic yellow 2000 CSI off a forumite that I hope within a week will be built up as my dream bike with a NOS 2006 Chorus alloy group and some Eurus wheels...in perusing the website with my new found "owner's pride" (I really LOVE my new CSI frame...I could just stare at the lugs all day ...), I came across the owner's club in my search for a Serotta jersey and wondered if 2nd/3rd/4th, etc. owners were welcome. I trawled the forum for a similar post/question, but didn't find it/the answer.

I'm not talking about the crash protection program (though I think it's REALLY cool Serotta offers it and if it wouldn't lead to immediate divorce it'd have me eyeing an Ottrott...maybe next decade ), but I figure with the jersey and just the fun factor the $100 is worth it for me if used frame buyers like myself are welcome to join...the form says any Serotta owner, but wanted to check.

Thanks so much,
Tim

EDIT: This is probably more a matter for the general discussion area than the classifieds, but my warped logic was evidently this is where I GOT the frame, so this is where I should post...sorry, my brain's not fully on until 10 or 11 AM, so please move/disregard/flame if necessary ...sorry about that. Rookie mistake.

That would be REALLY sweet ...nah, the brilliant stuff just has to come from THEM 1st period...they're AP seniors, so most days I'm safe ...I will admit that commuting via bike has helped slightly: at least my body's awake...if only you could teach from 8 PM to 3 AM, I'd be the best there is ...

I would say that you'd be very welcome, based on what Serotta says on their website: "Welcome to the Serotta Family! Serotta owners worldwide invite you to become a part of the Serotta family and community by joining as a member of the Serotta Owners' Club. Available to any Serotta owner anytime."

Welcome to the forum!

I bought the crash protection with my new Serotta, but I remember seeing some lit at the time that said that you could bring a used Serotta to a dealer, get it certified, and then buy the crash protection.

Just to clarify I assumed the crash protection wouldn't be available (I think I was too long winded and that got lost in the post)...was just inquiring about the owner's club and interested if other used frame purchases had tried to join/their experiences.

kgreene10 - I appreciate the info on potentially retroactively certifying it...considering my frame cost at this point, probably not worth it, but fantastic thing to inquire about for my next Serotta...I'm sure there'll be one.

You are welcome to join

You are welcome to join....fill out the paper work or go to your dealer to do it. Let me know if you have any problem with joining the Owner's Club,

PETE
