front derailleur size for a steel fierte

I'm building a steel fierte and want to know the front derailleur size. Does anyone know? Thanks.

You might want to post the year of the frame, just in case they vary. I think that the standard for the Fierte steel is 31.8.

I have built three from three different years

all 31.8. Hasnt changed
