Bike Is Sold

I'm selling this NOS steel lugged beauty because I have two and one must go. The size is 58cm center to center and the top tube is 56.5cm. Chainstay width is 130mm and it comes with the NOS uncut 1" chrome steel fork. Color is the gorgeous "Black Starburst". This frameset was never built and comes with the original box and wrap. I need to sell to buy Campy components for my other build. The chrome everywhere is perfect, no rust or corrosion, the headbadge decal has a small bubble but for a frame this old (1998) with Italian paint, it is in exquisite shape. If you can find these frames in this condition they go for $600-$800. I'm letting it go at dealer cost for $499. That's a deal for anyone. Shipping would be FedEx at $20.

BIKE HAS SOLD!

And the ride is ethereal.

I have an 88 model that I just can't get rid of. I build it up every once in a while just to remind myself that Italian steel is porn.

One day mine will be repainted by JB and I will shower it with the latest Record bits. Until then, it hangs on a hook in the bike closet.

De Bernardi

I have the same frame in a different color and size (57). It's made a nice-riding bike, and I currently use mine for commuting. It has a very good quality paint and chrome with some nice details such as "heart" cutouts in some of the lugs.

This was the color scheme

ZAR International used back in 1996 or 1997 when they were advertising this model in Bicyclist (was Bicycle Guide) magazine. It looked very nice with the white saddle and handlebar wrap. This was one of the bikes that added to my lust for Italian lugged steel.
