Litespeed Hyperion Al/Carbon Frame-Fork-Headset + Extras $200 Shipped 57 cm

This frame won't be on anyone's grail list, but it's surprisingly nice. This was from the wild early 2000's when Litespeed designed and had built (overseas) a line of alloy/Carbon frames. This Hyperion uses an alloy main triangle with a carbon rear end and fork. The tubing is shaped and does that Colnago Dream star thing on the top tube.

In a world where it's cool to restomod old CAAD's and Kleins, this one fits right in. Mechanical shifting, short reach rim brakes, ample clearance for 700x28, 27.2 post, and English threaded BB it will build up nice and easily with parts in your shed.

Includes a Litespeed branded post and saddle.

Condition: Clean. Looks new and minty from 5 feet away. On closer inspection there is some cable rub at the head tube and chain scars on the chainstays. There is the faintest, little ding on the underside of the down tube probably from a bit of gravel debris. I had one hell of a time finding it and an even harder time photographing it.

Size: Labeled a '57 cm', classic non-sloping geometry. Actually measures ~55 cm c-c ST, ~56 cm c-c top tube. Head tube is 16.5 cm end to end. Lots of steerer left.

$275 shipped $250 shipped NOW $2oo shipped. Includes Paypal fees via "Goods and Services" so you can buy with confidence.

I've sold 2 of the 3 frames I've listed and am in a selling mood. Feels good to get space! This one remains.

Big price drop to $200 shipped.

Call me crazy but what an aluminum frame like this hold up to being “drilled for DI2”?

I have a friend who destroyed his road bike at Tulsa tough. He’s paying to get all that fixed but wants to put together something less expensive for racing and already has an extra 6870 group set.

Very tempting. Not for me, but we have lots of retirees in my neighborhood who want to start biking again and they always want to do it on the cheap.

I'll take that as a "yeah this is 100% assured to work forever with a lifetime garauntee!"

But really, it's good to hear. I'll bring it up to him as an option.
