Rapha sizing Q?- another one with photo

I am a lanky 6'1" and wear medium bib shorts in brands like Primal, Canari etc and large if I buy Q 36.5, Castelli etc.
This Rapha ad shows a 6'3" person wearing Rapha mens pro bib shorts 2 regular in a medium. Sorry the type at the bottom is small and low rez.

I have a long torso so custom would be ideal with medium bottoms and long straps.

Any one who is that size have experience with this Rapha kit and sizing?
I was about to order large until I saw the photo.

Every Rapha order ships with a prepaid FedEx return label, so it's easy to order several sizes and return the ones that don't fit.

Definitely worth ordering both and trying them, then returning the one that doesn't fit.

Remember that the critical fit component is whether or not the short is stretched enough to keep the pad in the same place regardless of your movements on the bike. If the shorts are too large then the pad will slide around and you'll have issues. I've found most modern bibs have a reasonable amount of give in the straps so a given size will cover a wider range of heights.

I'm willing to bet that you're actually Medium in Rapha and possibly Castelli and the other higher-end brands. For reference, I'm 6'0" and am definitely NOT lanky and I'm a Large in brands like Assos (Mille and RS), alé, and Giordana. If I were similarly thin as the model in that photo I would absolutely be a Medium.

I am pretty much built like the guy in the photo. Good advice to order both sizes.
I think I have a large in some brand and I do recall that the pad just not fitting right and actually bunching up a bit.

I'm 6' 1 1/2" and was shocked to learn I wore S bibs and S jersey when I designed Castelli kit for my club a few years back. This was their Free Aero Race bib and an equivalent training jersey.

Remember Rapha makes tall so you may want to err tight and gain a little length on your legs in the tall version of whichever bibs you're considering.

I ordered a medium and large. No way medium will fit. Cannot even get it on my body. Large is the right size for me. YMMV.

I'm 6'6" and wear XL bibs in most brands, including Q36.5.

For Rapha I wear XL bibs as well.

What size jersey do you go for in Q365?

Thanks and sorry about the segue.
I saw that some of Q jerseys have a tall option, hence my question.

Mine are not 'tall' to my knowledge. I also like my bibs to end mid-thigh too.

Sounds like you’re between sizes, so order both, as mentioned before.

FWIW, the Rapha Pro bibs are cut slim, but still have some stretch. They aren’t as tight/supportive as some of the high-end euro brands, especially some of the really snug aero stuff.
