DHL question

I'm getting a wheelset from Probikekit (yeah, I know, it's a risk, but $380 for Fulcrum Racing 5 DB is a deal!). The order was made Tuesday afternoon and the shipment is already in NYC. This morning the DHL Tracking status said

"Clearance processing complete at NEW YORK CITY GATEWAY - USA"

Does that mean it's through Customs? And therefore soon to be on it's way to me? Does DHL deliver to my street address (the address I gave Probikekit) or do they hand it over to the Post Office?

Thanks

Yes. Agree with Velocipede.

I have had nothing but amazing results with DHL. I can have Berk saddles to my doorstep from Slovenia in 4 days via DHL.

Thanks gents.

I noted that Probikekit has had terrible reviews in the past, but a 2020 thread here indicated they may have mended their ways. I have had no experience with DHL so that's good news! Delivery slated for a week from today. Wonder if it will get here quicker now that it's cleared customs.

I just ordered some shoes from them on the 16th, got them on the 20th and I live in California. Everything was great and the price was way lower than everywhere else.

I've had many items shipped through DHL and they have never failed me.

To echo the above, DHL reigns supreme in myy experience. Most stuff shipped through them from Europe gets to my door faster than almost anything ordered domestically

DHL is pretty good but I did have them lose a package this past summer that was shipped from Spain. The overseas carrier to avoid is PostNL. They are horrible IMO

My DHL delivery from chainreaction, ordered Saturday, was scheduled to arrive this Friday - was delivered to my door yesterday (Wednesday). So yes, possible you could receive early.

Vittoria tires from PBK, ordered Tuesday afternoon, arrived today (Thursday) via DHL.
Zero complaints about PBK, ever.

I ordered from PlanetX, shipping was DHL, a week late. Possibly the worst service I’ve ever seen. Customer service literally lied to me about package whereabouts, blamed shipper, me, USPS. Box showed up crushed with holes punched in it, fortunately nothing inside was damaged.

my EXACT issue with BIKE24. I ordered a complete Campy SR 12 speed groupo on Sept 1, 2021. After watching it sit in Germany for about 20 days and website says 15-18 says for DELIVERY, I asked for a refund and 3 days later it was granted.
I don't know what is up with stuff shipping outta Germany but right now I would say DONT DO IT!
On another note a few months ago I order Biehler kit and similar situation. Took 20 days to get one jersey!
But I must echo DHL .. Never an issue as long as they take it start to finish. The one time it was DHL to USPS, took a few extra days but DHL "direct" - usually comes earlier than what tracking says.

DHL is the absolute worst shipping company I have ever attempted to deal with, dead link in their provided tracking information, don't answer the phone, 45 min on hold to be passed around through 5 customer service agents and the only answer I received is "call the sender" that paid them for a service.

Been sitting in Frankfurt since the 7th of October, 17 days with zero movement or updates. This coming Monday no progress, filing a claim with Paypal for non delivery of purchase, screw DHL!

Detailed tracking history

Th, 07.10.2021, 23:28, IPZ Frankfurt
The shipment will be transported to the destination country/destination area and, from there, handed over to the delivery organization. (Homepage / online shipment tracking: http://www.canadapost.ca/cpo/mc/default.jsf?LOCALE=en)
Th, 07.10.2021, 20:12, Rodgau, Germany
The international shipment has been processed in the export parcel center
Th, 07.10.2021, 10:45, Ottendorf-Okrilla, Germany
The international shipment has been processed in the parcel center of origin
Th, 07.10.2021, 04:23, Germany
The shipment has been posted by the sender at the retail outlet
We, 06.10.2021, 04:33
The instruction data for this shipment have been provided by the sender to DHL electronically

The two poor experiences are both from Germany. Is that a factor?
