FS: Merckx/Caloi Motorola Team Bike 60cm

SOLD

I got this Merckx/Caloi team bike a few months ago and have enjoyed building and riding it, but it is close enough to my other bike that while it's a great bike on it's own that I'd be happy with if I only had one bike, I'd rather keep the other.

More details on the bike here...
https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url...4&share_type=t
And here...
https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url...4&share_type=t

The bike is essentially a 60cm square SLX frameset, TT is listed at 59.8mm so awfully darn close.
60cm ST
59.8cm TT
17.5cm HT
21.5 HT with HS

Paint chips have been touched up so as to protect the frame and look good from a couple feet away, blue and gray is a good color match, red is a very slight shade darker than the original, although adding a white base coat helped some of the later touchups match a bit better.

Build is mostly Dura Ace 8s.
Sti shifters (hoods in good shape)
7403 brakes (newer cartridge holders) 7410 F der
7402 Rear derailleur
7410 cranks/BB includes DA ti bolts (your pick between 177.5 and 175mm), headset is Ultegra 6500.
I do have a nice 7400 headset and 7402 single pivot brakes if either is preferred.

Other build parts are
Mavic 130mm stem,
Cinelli 42ctc bars (black b/c that is what Zamana had in team photos I found), Ritchey classic seatpost and Selle Italia Flite TT saddle (not the Flite gel flow with Am Classic post pictured). I have other saddles I could send as well, if a flite isn't your thing.

Wheels are 32h 7400 front hub laced to a Matrix rim, rear is 6700/Open Pro. I have a 7403 hub that was intended to be built into a matching wheelset with the front hub but never got to it, but the rear hub comes with the bike as well. Gatorskin tires shown are 28mm and fit fine, not much room for anything bigger than 28 tires I'd wager, but I installed 23s after pictures that will go with the bike.

Trades I'm looking for would be an XL 29er for myself or small frame bikes for my kids. I'm still riding this and making tweaks here and there but I am happy to take additional pictures or measurements. Check the other threads linked above for more detailed information, original team provenance/history, and some nice pictures of just the frame from previous listings.

Couple more. Last one on the bottom of of the drive side chainstay doesn't show too well but tried to capture the biggest touched up area that resulted from improper packing on its trip to me. None of the touch ups are perfect, but pretty close as I spent several hours over the course of a week touching up and wet sanding.

Just a bit too long for me. Looks great, nice job on the touch ups!

Thanks, it's a really nice riding bike, and I'm glad I got to scratch that itch for a Motorola team bike as it's been fun building and riding it. I wont really be sad to keep it a bit longer as its a pretty good fit for me but I'll end up on different bars if I keep it long enough.
