All New Pinarello Dogma FS

I like this bike! It will be used in the Paris-Roubaix by team Sky.
Is this the first time a FS bike is used in this race?

Interesting that it isn't a disc bike.

Its already caring extra weight due to the FS, adding disc brakes will add more weight.

Agreed. Always the trade off. The FS would be an off-pavement/all-roads/wet conditions bike which is where disc makes sense (to me). Maybe like F10 ... disc-to-follow. I'm not a Pinny enthusiast but have a ride mate who has a stable full. I expect he'll be on one some time this year.

I think the "new" part is the Front Suspension and the electronic damper thing.

The old K8s was just rear suspension.

Personally I think it looks "better" than the new Roubaix....

Why do they keep trying to force these gimmicky "suspension" bikes that get poorly reviewed and sell miserably? What are we missing? This thing with rim brakes is DOA.

Or is it just some press fodder to feed us until the TdF when they can actually announce a viable new product?

They need to show that there's changes and improvements. All manufacturers do that lately because if they dont do it another guy will take a piece of the market for them.

Every year a few companies introduce a bike ahead of Paris-Roubaix. It creates great publicity for the brand even if it would be an extreme long shot for a rider from Team Sky to be in contention to win the race. They're a team built around the Grand Tours, not the cobbled classics.

Teams have been trying suspension bikes at P-R for decades. Greg Lemond use a custom Rock Shox fork and within a couple years those forks were the hottest thing. Today nobody rides with a Rock Shox on a road bike.

You would think that they would integrate the battery for the sensors with the one for the motor.

The Dogma FS features much of the same technology seen on the regular Dogma, including Pinarello’s signature aero ForkFlap, the aero-profiled recessed down tube and, for some unknown reason, an Italian-threaded bottom bracket.

isn´t it about building a light, flat resistant, supple, fast 700x30 tire for Roubaix?
