I think the 'issue' is 44mm head tube and 'canti'...44 head tubes were pretty much the stuff of frames with disc brakes..I've never seen one with canti studs. BUT guys like Richard Schwinn can build ya one.

You can certainly find one in the wild, but they are uncommon. Gunnar will build one but by the time you price in that options, you're spending full custom frame money. There were some production frames like the Raleigh that was on clearance a while back, but even those were only made for a year or two. Most of the big brands went 1.25" lower on their in-house tapered canti forks, it seems like, so those frames probably won't fit. A couple of Paceline examples: My Thrive: ![]() Maximus' Tomii (from eBAUMANN) ![]() And eBAUMANN's other Tomii ![]() John Watson of the Radavist had this Geekhouse for a while: ![]() Paul at Rock Lobster has built this configuration a bunch in steel and aluminum: ![]() And if you ask nicely, I wonder if Squid wouldn't weld another one up, they did a run early on of 44mm HT canti frames. ![]() Last edited by jtbadge; 02-27-2019 at 12:01 PM. |
