Thrive Cycles fillet brazed big tire road bike

Cross/gravel/enduro-all-road - call it what you want but it fits big tires
-True Temper OX Platinum top tube, seat tube, seat stays, Columbus Life down tube, Columbus chain stays
-Full internal cable routing for 2x
-ENVE tapered canti fork
-purple Paul Mini Motos + skewers
-Chris King headset/BB
-Ultegra 6800 groupset, compact + 11/32, R8000 front derailleur
-Wheels: White Industries T11 > Sapim Laser > H Plus Son Archetype > WTB Nano 40c
-Thomson Masterpiece seatpost
-Ritchey C260 stem (paint to match) and NeoClassic handlebars
-Brooks Cambium C13 saddle

I'll probably swap out the salmon pads for black ones, but other than that, I feel like this is pretty dialed.

Haven't taken it home yet, but I am really excited. This has been a long time coming, and in photos it has exceeded my expectations. Really excited to get to know this bike.

I jumped on them when Paul released a batch of purple stuff in 2016... it's been a test of will to not put them on a bike before this.

I'm definitely mulling another set of wheels. The White Industries purple ano is supposed to be the same as the Paul color, so that would be nice.

just a perfectly done bike that looks like it'll be a blast to ride and own. Darrel is on my short list of dudes I'd like a bike from one day.

this is friggin' beautiful! excellent job on the build and concept.

what did you do, geometry-wise, to make it work for your desire of CX/gravel/all-road/etc?

Darrel handled a lot of that. I wanted a lower BB than a pure 'cross' bike, this is 70mm. He added a slacker HT at 71.5 degrees to stabilize handling. He also recommended a little less drop and reach than my cross racing rig.

I unboxed it Saturday and have only gotten to ride once, but it felt like home immediately.
