New Gaulzetti lineup revealed

After a few months of teasing: http://gaulzetti.co

New models, with specs/geo/galleries:
Aerotack: carbon aero road
Interclub: alloy road
Omnidrome: alloy or carbon track
Supercourse: steel road
Ultraline: alloy cx

The image galleries on the model pages and the 'service course' section contain a lot of familiar faces... er, frames, from here and across the hall.

Interested to see how this goes!

That carbon frame looks nice, but sure is pricey. Can buy a complete Cervelo S3 with Ultegra Di2 for less than the frameset...

"We now offer the world's first Aero road bicycle built specifically for the demands of mass start ProTour racing."

mmmmmmmmwhat?

it still amazes me that a market (seemingly) exists for $2900 stock alloy/steel framesets, considering the quality of custom builders available for 30% less...

but hey, i guess the market will decide.

Interesting thing is that the bike you reference looks a whole lot like the new 2018 Tarmac design.

That much teasing and photos look like they came from Instagram? Cx bikes with road tires installed, track bike on a couch with no tires at all? What a solid meh... this feels phoned in.

I would take any opinion from someone who dropped 14K on a carbon track bike with a grain of salt. Who would say anything negative after dropping that kind of coin? Truly the gilded age.

that steel one has "wrong head-tube-itus" , common these days, seems to be spreading.

You must choose-

Small fork / head tube

or

big head tube / big fork

on a positive note, I like most of the graphics.

agree 100%. Not much effort to their online presence. And that logo? first font on photoshop, type your name, done.

Also who is making their frames for them?

the "cross frame with road tires" that someone mentioned here belongs to someone here on the forum, he seems to love it.

I hear the argument about competition at that price point, but when has cycling ever been purely about a price-benefit line? Ever seen some of the light expensive stems?

I personally like the story. How much of that is marketing spin, I don't know.

Quote:
We began dreaming of Gaulzetti while watching custom builders retreat from the sport of cycling in the early 2000s due to the increasing complexity of the financial, diplomatic, and technological demands of professional cycling. We saw an increasing need for Gaulzetti as mass producers took over the cycling market with bikes designed to be advertisements first, commodities second, and tools for athletes last, if at all. We finally launched Gaulzetti when we were ready to begin producing the very best equipment for the sport of cycling. Creating cycling sporting goods without compromise has been our sole aim since day one, and we are equally passionate today about producing the best pure racing bikes in the world.
If this is one guy, or a small group of guys, trying to put a full product line together to fight the good fight against Dorel Group, Trek and Sinyard & Co... hey, I'll be in his corner any day of the week.

Seems to me Cervelo made/makes aero road bikes for mass start Pro tour events...

This line shows up under the carbon fiber aerotack model, I am not trying to be a jerk or anything (lots of gaulzetti bikes look great and I am sure they ride super), I am actually curious about what I am missing here. Why is this the first aero road bike built for protour racing? Doesn't every major brand offer an aero road model designed for protour racing?

I do like that it doesn't have a silly super integrated barely adjustable stem/bar thing with internal cable routing.
