Changes to the Warning System on The Paceline
Hey folks,
We (the Mods) are letting you know that we have started using the Infraction Function built into the VBulletin software. What does that mean? It means that if a member violates forum rules a warning will be put into effect that will notify the member of the warning violation, mark the offending posts, and the Infraction warning will be attached to their profile for a certain period of time. Warning actions will follow this basic structure: 1st offense - Warning and/or 2 week ban 2nd offense - 1 month ban 3rd offense - Permanent ban A lot will depend on the severity of the violations, and there will be Mod discretion. But in general, this is the structure we will be following. If someone starts a thread on a topic that clearly violates the rules regarding topics not allowed, it will be closed and expect a warning. If a member(s) derail a thread into banned topics forcing it to be closed, expect a infraction warning. Most of you have been around long enough to know which topics are not allowed here, and if you don't know, then check the rules linked at the top of every page or click on the link below. It is a pretty small list of topics. Paceline User Agreement: http://forums.thepaceline.net/announcement.php?f=3 We are doing this to help keep the forum positive for all members. The vast majority of the time everyone here is cordial and helpful, and we don’t expect to use it much -- but we will use it for the very few who tend to move things in that direction. There are plenty of places on the internet to discuss and argue divisive issues...just not here. Best regards, The Mod Crew __________________ Custom Frame Builders List Support our vendors!
