FS: Serotta Colorado II 63x60 - [SOLD]

Too many inbound projects to let this lay around - now offering for $350 incl. shipping to CONUS. If it doesn't sell shortly, I'll find a closet to stuff it in for the next time I want to build something...but I'd really rather someone else get some enjoyment out of it. Any Steelers or Penguins fans??

I purchased this as a "needs assembly and some sweat-equity" project from another forum-ite (BicycleTricycle), did that, built it, rode it, and now have my eye on different projects

---------

1990s Serotta Colorado II

• 63cm C-t-T ST

• 60cm C-t-C TT

• Made in USA

• Lugged steel perfection, s-bend stays, ovalized ST at BB

• Classic racing geometry

This is a used bike that has been rebuilt and adjusted, but is not "new" and should be expected to have minor imperfections given it is 20+ yrs old. There are chips and scratches as shown in the photos, but no dents or dings. The BB threads are perfect. Headset is smooth. I did chip the paint around the brake cable internal routing hole up front trying to remove a stuck ferrule - turns out I could have left it in - c'est la vie and some black metallic touch-up paint should cover the bit the housing doesn't. The internal routing is cable-through-tube and super smooth.

Clean,

Just a polite heads-up that one of the rules in selling in the classifieds is:

"A link to a great bike deal on ebay or Craigslist is fine. But, please do not post your own ebay or Craigslist links until you have tried to sell the item(s) in the Classifieds first for at least a week. And, if you do place a link in your classified thread, please offer our Forumites a discount if they buy from you. Also, any links to websites where there are `benefit points' for referrals will be deleted."

I honestly don't know how often we stick to that rule. But we do generally try to sell here first, and then let people know that the bike (or other object) is moving to eBay.

As a plus, if you sell here, you avoid eBay's (rather large) fees...

Purty bike, though!

Shoot, didn't mean to muck that up..

I'll copy over the info instead of linking to it...the goal was to offer it here for less than it'll go for on auction/BIN on the Bay.

Thanks for the heads-up!

Did the build this morning and put 40+ miles on her on a seriously incredible spring day in Portland. PR'd a longish climb without trying (I blame the 34x23 gearing), and overall thought it rode pretty well...but it didn't really speak to me the way my Yamaguchi does, so a tear down and re-list is coming.

PM me if you're interested in the frameset - I'll let it go cheap here to a good home..

Bump for price drop and garage space management issues.

That's a fantastic deal, and should be gone in a flash.

Go Pens!
