It's interesting to compare NSA/ANT to the CIA/Vault7 approaches. mostly remote vs. mostly local methodologies, which reflect how differently the two agencies operate.

Also, now published use of subterfuge by designing their tools to look like the attacks come from enemy states is coming at an interesting time.

How do you know that it's real? Could be disinformation.

Yo!

The attack against Samsung smart TVs was developed in cooperation with the United Kingdom's MI5/BTSS. After infestation, Weeping Angel places the target TV in a 'Fake-Off' mode, so that the owner falsely believes the TV is off when it is on. In 'Fake-Off' mode the TV operates as a bug, recording conversations in the room and sending them over the Internet to a covert CIA server.

Hope they did mine. Would serve them right to have to listen to my dogs snore all day.

As if this is a surprise -- everyone does it. What's maybe more interesting is why this info gets released now. Timing is everything.
